It is odd that they call it “snug Tite” as the lock hangs on the pin loosely and not snug against the hitch. But I have to trust the engineering that the rack is securely held and reasonably secure from theft. It was easy to install and seems like a well made product.

I bought extra lock cores for the ratchet arms on my T 2 hitch rack. On a recent trip I wanted as much security as possible since the mountain bikes I carried are custom built. It's not always possible to prevent theft but I wanted to make it as hard as can be.

I drove with this lock on but it fell off, Its been raining here and many pot holes and I think they should make it a lot more stronger. Maybe I should just lock it when I stop to ride.

I left my last one on my bumper and drove off...ordered and delivered fast. I would have paid more if it came standard with my Thule bike rack.
