It's a remote control - looks and feels exactly like the original that came with my DVD player (but never worked). It's nothing fancy - just gets the job done that it's intended for - and it didn't break the bank. I'm very satisfied with my order.

I got a Sony player BDP S390 from Goodwill for 5 bucks. It does not have a remote, so I was unable to use it. I ordered this to give it a shot. As soon as I put in AA batteries, it simply just worked. No programming. I had for few days and worked so far as it should.

So glad to find this item. You can only drop the remote so many times and ours died, but the Blu Ray player hadn't. Now, we can use it again!
