I have bought 6 of these rods in the last couple of years and the fishing line is so thin we always end up losing the fish that comes with the rod on the first or second cast. Only have one left that is working with a real hook on it and the rest are all useless.

My boys were so happy to practice casting but the line broke right away. There's a plastic screw on the reel that won't come off so I can't fix the line. I looked for instructions or a video but only found other users with the same issue.

Received as a gift and broke in first use. Imposible to open housing of reel plastic screw doesn't unscrew.

I bought two of these for my 4 and 5 year old sons. One line broke within 5 minutes and was reeled back in. You cant take the reel apart so it is basically useless now.

I bought this in a store, so they had the old one version that includes the plastic screw. I had to jam a knife into it when I needed to get the line out of the housing. So word of caution, make sure you buy one with the improved screw. Wish I knew what it looked like, but I know I read a review ...
