My son-in-law bought this for my husband to catch panfish. I got to use it yesterday and it is awesome!!!! Casts really far, catches fish up to2-3 lbs with no problem, retrieves quick and easily. I will be looking for one for myself now!!!

I bought two of these last month and my son and I caught some catfish on them on their first outing. Mine was broke in on a 3.5 lb channel cat. Such a smooth reel with a good drag system. The rod performed well on this balanced combo. Highly recommend it to everyone as this one is very affordable.
