I bought the Ugly Stick (Striper) about a week ago. Took it too the beach and worked it hard. I was able to cast long distances without any issues. Although I did not catch any fish, I was very happy.

I wish they would have kept the end of the rod at the handle the same as the older models because the new one will not go into my rod holders that I have for them. This is a great fishing rod, but that is my only problem with it.
