I've had the smallest version of this rod for years now. Never had any issues and continues to work just fine. Landed a 30lb grass carp on it with 6lb mono. I do everything from bass fishing, to catching bait fish and catfish with it.

I've had this combo now for over a year and have been very impressed with its performance. I've caught a 40# flathead, a 36.5 inch bull red, and plenty of bass over 5 pounds with this combo. The best for the price!

I boight this a couple years ago as my first rod and reel. It is perfect for a beginner rod and for intermediate use once you start to get the hang of it.
