This is the second one of these I bought. First one I received and checked it out, was extremely pleased with overall construct. It has a large seat area. I have not tried on beach yet. Great price.

The seat is 8 inches off the ground which allows it to be taken into the local amphitheater (operated by Live Nation). Their limit is 9 inches. You can rent chairs or purchase this. Super comfortable and comparable to my other low profile chair that I purchased from REI for $60 a few years ago....
