I coupled this rod with a Pflueger Patriarch and it's a match made in heaven. I loaded the Patriarch with 20 lb. Berkley's Fireline Crystal and a 12 lb. Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon leader. Best casts I've ever experienced. I use it to throw a 3/8th or 1/2 ounce jig with a craw trailer.
