I now have four left-hand Blackmax's and I'm planing on all ten of my bait-casting rods to eventually have nothing but these same reals. I haven't had any problems with backlashes at all. Just a note--I don't use my thumb at all, and can cast approximately 75 to 80 feet easily without a backlash.

i baught this from Cabelas and i am very pleased with it! i caught my first bass on it so it defanetly has some sentamental value now. the botton is getting kind of hard to press though, so i might need a replacement
