Slow response. Not accurate. The preset temps are way off. A rare steak is 130-135 degrees NOT 145. Battery that came with lasted 2 months. I replaced that it has lasted the 1 year I have had it. I use it for other things like checking fryer oil temperature. Not good for grilling meat. JUNK

It keeps flashing, stays inoperable, and if I turn it off and on about twenty times over five minutes, I can make it work, sometimes. By this time, my meat is always overcooked. If this product were designed to make sure my meat is never undercooked, it works, kind of.
