I bought this for my husband. He hunts a lot and we process our own meat. The first thing we did was buy a ham and make our own ham steaks and deli sandwich meat. This product will more than pay for itself in very short time. We saved $1.00 a pound on the ham buy slicing our own.

My son makes beef jerky he wanted a food slicer for fathers day . I purchased this one and he loves it!! He says it is such an easy one to use great quality. It made a great gift!

It does what it's supposed to do . . . slices deli thin. The one thing I don't like about the slicer is that suction feet don't hold. The machine slides all over the place, causing a dangerous situation. I have someone hold and stablize the slicer when I'm using it.

I just wish it was totally dishwasher durable.

If you're looking for the occasional slicer, this is it. I believe, for the cost, you won't find the same durability. Its true-it slides -but if you have a rubberized placemat to put underneath it, the problem's solved. Also, the slicing is not 100% if you're slicing something large (like a prosc...
