I have several diamond sharpeners, including a two stage Chefmate electric. This is by far the easiest to use to achieve and excellent edge. Just follow the easy directions.

As someone else said this isn't for sharpening a knife that is very dull. Use a stone to get it sharp, then run the knife over this sharpener every so often and it will stay almost as sharp as a razor. I uses to like the ceramic sticks but this is much faster and easier.
