I like these clothespins; they remind me of the ones that my grandmother had many years ago and I still use. They are sturdier than the ones I find in stores. I liked them so much, that I ordered more.

I wasn't sure if these would be sturdy enough to use as bag clips, but they are surprisingly strong. I don't hang clothes on a line, but they would definitely be a good choice for that, too.
