I was looking for a cap that extended lower onto the outside of the tailgate than the OE cap as I had a little boo-boo to hide. This did the trick and seems like it will be very serviceable as well.

Some sanding and file shaping required to rid it of sharp edges and strange edges at both ends and definatly needs more 2 sided tape and some training for the person applying it difficult to remove the protecting tape when it in a wadded up condition.I had to remove and buy tape for one end.

The tailgate protector helped to tie in the bed rails to complete a finished look on the older truck. My teenage son is very happy with the look of it and it was easy installation.
