If you are a tv tray eater, and a bit messy (like me), how many times has the plate actually fallen off the tray while you are carrying the food and tray into the tv room? For me it's always a balancing act... So, when I saw the ones with a lip I was thrilled. For me, there are no cons to this ...

Less heavy than wooden ones and they are so simple to set up and move around...no pinched fingers! Easily cleaned with damp cloth. I would recommend to friends and family.

Lightweight but not flimsy. Small footprint. Tray is attached at one side so it is always "there". I live in small apartment and when children/grandchildren come to visit, the trays are handy extra "tables".

Finally a snack tray with a lip so our plates don't fall off and secure legs to hold the tray. Was trying to duplicate my old plastic and brass ones and think this is the closest thing to it. Thank you for someone finally going back to the old secure style. Very Happy
