I love the wood grain look. It is nice, heavy and seems to be well made. This shade of gray does not have a lot of blue undertone but it may look different under a different type of lighting. The chrome hinges give it a nice look. It was super easy to install.

I was very surprised to see metal hinges on this product. Very easy to install with metal screws and has plastic bolts. Fits my commode perfectly and mine is old. This product is well made and would definitely recommend it. I am not buying another brand after getting this seat.
