Don't get close to someone. This thing is absolutely easy to use I have three kids and a husband who acts like one and there always shooting at each other. It is hard to tell if the safety is on.

Little big once you get it and the grip is weird, but once you get used to it, its a awesome powerful blaster

The nerf bulets are small and round, not the normal long bullets. These small round bullets shoot far and do not hurt if accidentally shot; however, they are too small that they are easily lost.
