I'm 6ft tall 200 pounds and all these scooters hold me fine. The A5 air is a little to low. The carbon lux is too high. The A5 lux is just right . The A5 air is the smoothest but the slowest. I have 5 kids and none of them like the carbon lux because of the deck height. I got the 2 A5 lux scoot...

I bought this for my Mom for her Birthday. She absolutely loves it! Works very well for heights 5'3 to 5'9 at least. I bought mine in August and it's still riding really smooth even though me and my sister (adults) have put about 50 miles on them already.

Handlebars are adjustable. He will have that extra room to grow. The wheels are larger and gives a smoother ride. His first comment was “I can go really fast!” He rides it all the time. It's sturdy, well made. Great having the “kick stand”, so much better to store it.
