These brushes are fairly soft for the coarseness of the hair and of medium thickness. The handles are wood. They are short so allow a good bit of control while painting. Easy to clean and allow to air dry upside down. They hold the paint very well.

These brushes do the job for stenciling. They hold paint well and tap nicely. The bristles (I think) could be a stiffer but they still work really well. We used this to do a chalk painted dresser. We never really had done a project like this before, but we have seen a few projects that friends have done and thought what the hay, what's the worst we could do. The brush was cheap so no need to worry about clean up.
