I use the 10ft 20-50 line rated version for shore casting in Hawaii. This rod has taken a beating on lava rocks and it holds up great. Also light enough to be able to cast for long periods of time. Would highly recommend, especially paired with a size 5000 - 7000 penn reel!

I surf fish 3-4 times a week all year long. My 12 foot rod paired with a spinfisher v 7500lc and 50lb powerpro has held up extremely well. I can routinely reach the second sand bar. It has good bite detection for pompanos and enough back bone to land a 6' blacktip. By far my go to rod/reel setup.

I bought the Carnage 8fter a few months ago. Fishing out of Jones Beach NY from pier and jetty using soft plastics on 3/4-4 ounce jigheads. This rod could really cast what it is rated for and more. Even though it’s rated up to 3 ounces I could cast bass assassins on 4 ounce jig heads and have no ...

Bought this Rod after much consideration and debate, paired it up with Penn Slammer 3, 4500. It's a Sick rod for the money and more backbone than Rods costing double the money. It makes easy work of fish 25-30 lbs. still waiting to catch something bigger but it's worth every penny.
