I PICKED THIS STARTER UP FOR MY MUSICALLY GIFTED LOVE MACHINE. IT HAS THE STRENGTH TO GET MY HIGH COMPRESSION(TIGHT HOW I LIKE EM) LADY UP AND MOANING AND THE TURN OF A KEY. I have been having issues with "other" starters I think I have finally found the one that will fit our needs.

Had to machine the nose/ mounting block for proper fit to flywheel, removed .125 off the mounting surface of the starter.

This starter rocks my Nova's body it has so much torque. It's small, easily fit between block & headers, and didn't need any re-clocking or shimming. Plus is having three bolt mounts to my block for support. Only nitpick is it's an expensive starter, otherwise I'd give it all five stars for value.

I have 2 70 chevelles 1 396 and 1 454 both had lagging in starting and once hot after a cruise would have more hesitation starting from heat soak. Installed these in both they crank up like butter. After a long drive still no hesitation easy to install would recommend hopefully they hold up well ...
