This is not flimsy compressed wood. Has a very nice look and feel to it. The door are very nice and the hinges cause it to soft close so they don't just slam shut. I wanted a heater so I wouldn't have to have the furnace on. This unit is great with the fireplace that has 5 different setting for the fire in the fireplace. Nice storage on each side with one shelf in each cabinet. For the price very well packaged and good instructions went together very well.

great,real solid wood,plus comes with a remote and the heat is great! takes about an hour to assemble ,well worth it!!

Nice piece of furniture. Solid construction and not too difficult to put together, maybe 2-3 hrs total. Nice, rich wood color. Fireplace warms our 20x15 family room nicely. Good quality and great price.
