Its more like a light worsted. I am making crochet placemats with it using a D hook. It does not split and it feel wonderfully soft. I absolutely love it! This cotton rarely splits, very few knots, great stitch definition, and just feels wonderful!! One of my absolute favorite yarns!

I really like this yarn for amigurumi. The cotton and acrylic blend works up nice. Unlike Bernat Handicrafter yarn this product dose not split. I have also used it to make placemats and table runners. Only wish it came in more colours than just baby colours.
