Actually not bad. Frankie's real life story is interspersed with graphic novel-style pages for the action scenes that he imagines. A fine-don't-clean-your-room-but-you-have-to-deal-with-what-happens story, a la Mrs. Piggle Wiggle.

This is the first chapter book that my 9 year old son read by himself and he said it is "awesome". He got another book by the same author the next time he went to the school library, so how could I not buy the books for him, because they are "awesome".
