This is a substantial 1" diameter curtain rod which will work well with heavier curtain panels, although plan to use sheers at least for the summer months. Using it for large window span and, although have not yet installed it, it seems that the whole system is sturdy / will do the intended job.

Attractive, sturdy, economical. We are putting these in all apartments we rent to college students. It prevents them from installing their own and leaving holes in the walls. Quick delivery and all parts worked perfectly.
