      Pros: mount is solid and seems to be built well, I love the ease in which it adjusts. I added the optional sound bar mount and it all seems to work well together. Cons: the instructions leave a lot to be desired. Overall I am liking the product

      The instructions are a bit difficult. My mantel depth is17 1/4". The bottom of the mount is 8 1/2". The 4 X 4 support reduced the mantel depth to 17.25".

      It is working as expected.. It's perfect! Love the mount! It holds the weight of the 55 inches TV very well. The tension in the gas spring is adjustable and is smooth in pulling down and pushing up the TV. The optional universal sound bar that I bought also fit very well! Pleased with the product...
