Due to the fact it is winter, I have not had a chance to use it. It is made of a hard plastic and metal, which will enable it to pushed into the ground where ever it is needed. The rotating arm will be great to allow more of the area to be covered, without moving the sprinkler from place to place.

I have used these sprinklers before and they do a great job. I'm waiting for my husband to get better so he can spike this one in the ground. I might have waited a little too long because it is starting to get a little cold even down here in the South. I do recommend this Gilmour sprinkler.

Just received my Gilmour Adjustable Whirler Sprinkler with Metal Spike Base. Color Is Teal and black. Can water up to 1800 sq ft. Like that it has the spike and it stays in place. The gentle spraying is perfect for plants and new seeding. Very well made. Also has lifetime warranty. Great product.
