Lucado's writing doesn't impress, and his treatment of the text is hardly expositional. There's no heresy here, but nothing profound, either.

I definitely don't think this is Lucado's finest work. Like another reviewer said, half of the book is the actual book and the last half is a 40-day devotional. I plan to go through the devotional. I usually like Max Lucado's writings, but I had a a hard time following this one. It may be because I was listening to it rather than reading it--and most of the time I was listening to it while driving.
