It blocks out the side light from all my windows. I also happened to go outside and noticed that I could not see any lights on in my living room. These also look very high end without the costs. I put them up in every room.

One of the balls at the end of the bar came cracked and then broke off. The balls are apparently filled with a synthetic sand-like material which got everywhere. Rather than deal with trying to return or refund the item we just taped it back on since it's installed well above eye line.
