Bought this to install on my weekend camp water heater. Set it to turn on Friday a couple hours before I get there and turn off on Sunday afternoon just before I leave. Should pay for itself in the first year.

This unit installed easily, has a convenient "override" button, and includes separate options for weekday and weekend programs. Really handy for "time of use" electricity metering, etc. It's easy to program and has battery backup for the programs and current time. No complaints al all.

I've only had it about a week, but the initial look and operation is SO MUCH better than the old mechanical ones If you need to turn the water heater on during the off hours, just push a button on front, then off when done.. If it lasts 10 years, it will be well worth the cost..
