I think it's a bit on the heavy side for a backpacking lantern if I'm hiking a long way but I love everything else about it!

My wife purchased one for me when Luci first started producing them. I now have a dozen or so everywhere. They last a long time and charge easily in the sun. They were a great Christmas girft for our grown kids and these are grandkid safe. They are waterproof, and they will float.

This is my 3rd lantern. These give off lots of light and my kids enjoy them in forts and outside by the campfire at night. I like that I don't have to burn through batteries with it.
