had this rod for 2 years, then broke the tip (hit the net trying to land a salmon) ...so bought another one :) ...rod is very sensitive yet strong enough to do the job, although I do think the case is a bit bulky

The pole is beautiful and just what I wanted ... unfortunately COVID-19 forced a cancellation in my tropical vacations and the State has closed all fishing and hunting.... I'll post an update when life returns to normal. Be well. Wash your hands. Call your friends and family...

This beautiful rod arrived in a 26” long hard tube case that will easily fit in a suitcase. I prefer to use a 7' long rod and I have no doubt that this rod will handle pink and sockeye salmon with ease. Can't wait to field test it on my next trip to Alaska.

I bought the Fenwick eagle to take to the florida keys. I fished off of bridges and the shore and rod was solid. I didn't catch any giant fish but it handled some nice Jacks and a big barracuda.
