Abu Garcia Pro Max Spinning Reel and Fishing Rod Combo

I bought this reel to pair with one of my favorite smaller 6 foot spinning rods. What I put together is a all around fantastic combo. I placed Stren 6# line on reel, and have yet to lose a fish. The drag is great, and the reel is smooth as silk.....GREAT JOB ABU GARCIA!!!!!!

I paired the Pro Max with a Berkley Crappie Max rod to make for a very nice crappie catching system. The reel balances nicely with the rod and is extremely smooth with a very smooth drag system. The reel is well made. Well done Abu!

I bought one as a trout reel, and sat on it for two years without trying it. This year, I tried it at the start of the year, and it has become my only trout, crappie, and panfish reel. The drag is smooth and it cast well even with light splitshot and a fly with Trilene XL 4lb.
