It's made of a high quality plastic. It does not roll out easily and is a workout to get it positioned correctly but other than that it's great. I still haven't mastered unrolling the bit under the desk but I have a feet cushion so it provides a little more height for that.

This mat is perfect. It is nice and heavy. The grippers keep it in place. The bonus is it is shipped FLAT. I have tried two or three other mats this past year and ended up sending them back because they were so flimsy. And you could not get them to lay flat.

I love, love, love this mat, and I have had quite a few. It's thick and withstands chair pressure much better than the others I've had.
