i enjoyed this more than i usually do this series. i'm not very interested in her private life but this time it was MILDLY interesting. a lot happened and the reader was great. and her husband butch was bearable. who has a husband named butch? i could never do that.

Still one on my favorite series. I don't do full reviews of mysteries because there's too much chance of spoilers. Instead, I just put in notes so I can remember the plot. For this one: suicide pact, body bag, chocolate sauce, Ketamine, fallen officer and change and loss.

Sheriff Joanna Brady solves a cold case and a suspicious elderly suicide/murder case while juggling family life and her running interference for her mother. Very good.

Another good one in J. A. Jance's Joanna Brady series. I always enjoy these because the characters are consistent and the action is nonstop. Jance is a very readable and enjoyable author.
