Gruesome and turbulent, but a fine story. The gore goes a little heavy on this one, but it reflects the inner nature of the titular character's being. I recommend it for anyone interested in Japanese literature.

This story is both beautiful and horrifying, It is of a suicide pact in which man and wife experience sexual bliss prior to their ending their own lives. It makes me wonder if the author was vicariously imagining his own end while composing this story.
