We have used this same model GE microwave for 10 years. Buying an new one was easy because there was no question about its performance! There is one thing GE should do differently. The control panel should be lighted when touched. At night you have to turn on a kitchen light to see the keypad.

I didn't give this 5 stars because of two reasons: 1) the high setting on the stove vent is entirely too loud and 2) the general look of the microwave is pretty boxy and unimpressive but I happen to have a GE stove that it matches well. Overall it's a great machine and does what it's supposed to do.

The only issue I have found is with the seal around the outer glass, it leaks. A damp rag was used to wipe around the door and liquid leaked between the plastic outer part of the door facing and down the inside of the glass. The only way to clean the dried streaks left behind is to disassemble th...
