I would say buy the next size up if unsure; I bought 14-16 for my 9-year-old to grow into (he is 62 percentile height for his age) but it pretty much fits him right now.

The white is Super thin and almost see through. Luckily these are for a school uniform and they will only be worn underneath either a sweater or sweater vest. I think my boys might actually appreciate the light weight material. My daughter on the other hand will be wearing a white polo without...

I bought the white, grey and maroon Polo shirts for my son to wear for school. The grey and maroon ones seem to be a bit better quality than the white ones. The white polos are very thin and see through. I ended up returning them.
