We use these in our smoker. They burn very evenly which is great for low and slow cooking or burning a fireplace, I would assume.

They are the perfect size for my medium smoker/grill. They light easily with a small amount of lighter fluid and do produce a good amount of heat and smoke. I would definitely recommend for smaller to medium sized grills. I'm not sure how cost effective they would be for large smokers and grills,...
