This is a Jodi Picoult wannabe. The characters aren't as fleshed-out, and the situations somehow don't feel as compelling. It's not a bad book, but it's not as deep as it might seem if you read reviews or the back cover blurb. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the author had written it all ...

Meh - predictable relationships/conflicts with one twist at the end. Kind of hard to believe all the drama with two families in the span of a month or so . . . finished it in a day. Wouldn't necessarily pick up another book by this author.
