My old scale used button batteries that didn't last very long. Bought this when I saw that it used AAA. We'll see how long they last. Seems accurate. Shows the same weight as my old scale. Great price.

So far so good. Like the fact all you do is step on it, for our old one you had to bump it a time or two with your foot before it would come on, and then step on it. One of the 4 batteries was DOA, but had more aaa at home.
