I was deep frying the other day and I noticed the heating unit actually starting to get really hot by the temperature knob. It actually started melting! the plastic on the heating unit started melting.

In 2010 purchased, 2011 replacement number 1, 2012 replacement number 2, 2013 replacement number 3, which the temperature knob melted and blue smoke started pooring out of.

We got this larger fryer, third cooking, the lid would not stay open when unlatched. Only opens an inch or so then you burn your hand when you fully open it. Tried to see what was wrong with it, the plastic prongs in the back that support the lids were broken off. Not happy.

I had this same fryer for 4 years and it stopped working. I ordered 2 more one for me and one for my daughter. I recently returned them both to walmart because the screws on the lids kept popping out which caused the lid not to open unless you used a knife or something. We got several burns tryin...
