This is truly a "coffee table book"! Beautiful pictures and most interesting stories make this a perfect read as well as a wonderful cookbook. I felt like the recipes I wanted to try were from my OWN family's treasured collection. The price was half that of a book store and more than worth it!

Not only is this a great cookbook and full of authentic New Orleans recipes, It is a education of New Orleans culture and food. I could not put it down once I began reading. Congrats to John Besh!
