It worked well. Caught many Dungeness and Red Rock crabs with this, and didn't get snared at the bottom at all.

needs modified but its simple to do. cut off all protruding edges on the bait holder. zip tie the netting to the frame. if anything catches the netting it wont open correctly. check the functionality of it by simply lowering it onto the deck and see how it opens.

Worked good 1st time in the creek. Next time will try on the pier. Still trying to decide best place to put the bait (chicken) Put a pc. of metal bar underneath for more weight.
