this is advertised as for both wood and metal. for wood doors it is a bit overkill, but works great on metal doors. The metal hole saws work like a charm on interior metal doors. I have not tried it on anything else as of yet.

This is a pretty handy tool to have on hand. Used it on an interior wooden door and it was so easy tp use. It has a 3 step process. Very sturdy tool. I would definitly recommend it.
