I started with NETGEAR® Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band WiFi Router (R8000). As this did not cover my 2600 sq ft house I added in the this mess extender. No more dead spots in or around my house. . A little costly but they do work well together

This unit has an extraordinarily strong signal. It's more powerful than my router and seems to be quite effective at extending the range of my wifi system.
