I did everything by the instructions and wow was the turkey a hit. All we had left was bones. We definitely will do recipes on the pit boss smoker. We are gearing up for the Christmas ham. I wish I had photos but it went so fast lol. I love my Laredo 1000 pitboss grill.

I got to use it for the first time this past weekend. Made smoked pork loin, smoked veggies and smoked baked potatoes. Came out perfectly. And I didn't know what the (quarter in a swear jar) I was doing! My wife is getting jealous.

Made a Hawaiian Pork Butt, recipe available on pitboss-grills.com, using freedom wood pellets. I started off with a fall harvest blend of apple and pecan and had to transition to the freedom blend. Most of the smoke was with the freedom blend. Came out tasting great. Will be making it again.

Called customer service and diagnosed the problem, which was the control board. Filed a warranty claim and had new board in two days. Installed and my smoker is up and running. The customer service rep was fantastic, made for a pleasant experience.
