Guy Pearce stars as Alexander Hartdegen, a scientist and inventor who builds a time machine after his fiancée's sudden death.

He travels 800,000 years into the future to find answers about time but instead discovers a dystopian world divided into Eloi and Morlocks.

Along with the beautiful Eloi woman Mara (Samantha Mumba), Alexander must save her from the underground Morlocks.

With the help of Vox, a bio-mechanical being from the 21st century, Alexander makes a shocking discovery about the true nature of the Eloi and Morlocks and decides to change the future by altering the present.

Despite director Wells' brief replacement by Gore Verbinski during production, The Time Machine is an exciting and thought-provoking adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
