Mouse found a new place to hide. He hid in a backpack. It took him somewhere that has a lot of fun things to do. It has dress-up, snacks, and best of all friends. Where was Mouse? He was at his first day of school! This book can be shown on the first day of school.

What I liked most about this book was the adjectives used to describe all of the objects Mouse found at school. I find that using those words during story time will help engage young children. Onomatopoeia is a sure way to have them involved! Such as the "vrooming" car, or pots that go "bang!"

One day mouse found a nice cool hiding place, a back pack, that took him somewhere he has never been. He finds plenty of new things: dolls, blocks, crayons and more. Turns out he finds even more than that, he finds friends at school. Fun for just a reading time.
