This mattress cover is soft and has a little padding to it. It has elastic straps to secure it to each corner. No problem with it slipping off. In fact it seems like a tighter fit than the mattress pads with the full elastic skirting. It is comfortable and breathable

My mattress isn't super high quality, and so I wanted something to smooth it out a little. My mattress pad works great for me. It was so easy to slip on, with elastics on each corner of the pad, and I notice a difference. For not a lot of money you get a nice topper to your mattress.
